About the service

Home-Start provides home-based support, helping parents build better lives for their children. Volunteers, parents themselves, are trained to visit families who have difficulties and/or problems related to child protection, mental health, disabilities, drug and alcohol misuse, isolation, multiple births, deprivation and domestic violence.  

Home-Start believe early intervention in a child's life improves their chances of growing up healthy and happy. Support is flexible and tailor made, co-designed by parents. Age criteria 0 to 4 years old. Weekly groups for parents and children are arrange to support and encourage others to       socialise and take part in fun activities.
