Towards zero suicide

A 20 minute suicide awareness training course to gain skills and confidence to help someone who may be considering suicide.

Towards zero suicide

Towards zero suicide (TZS) awareness training provides you with the skills and confidence to help someone who may be considering suicide. The programme encourages people to have open conversations about mental health.

Who is it for?

The training is aimed at anyone aged 16 and over who wants to know what to do if they’re ever in a situation where someone they know or see may be struggling with thoughts of suicide.

Learning outcomes

The TZS awareness training from Zero Suicide Alliance enables you to learn how to:

  • recognise signs of suicidality;
  • understand reasons behind thoughts of suicide;
  • engage with a person in crisis;
  • offer emotional support;
  • recognise potential barriers to seeking help;
  • signpost to appropriate resources (helplines).
